LearnPF FAQ
Answers about Productive Failure, our PF-trained AI, and bringing LearnPF to your school.
Frequently asked questions
What is Productive Failure?
Students try a problem before they’re taught how to solve it. The teaching then connects their attempts to the concept and method. Developed by Prof. Manu Kapur, this approach has been studied in classrooms since 2006.
Is LearnPF’s AI a homework solver?
No. It’s our own model, fine-tuned for Productive Failure tutoring. It guides students without revealing the answer, by asking them to explain their thinking and working through their attempts.
Will it fit our timetable?
LearnPF lessons are designed to run in your existing maths periods. Tell us about your timetable in the demo and we’ll show you how a module would fit.
How much preparation will teachers need?
Our modules are ready to run, and teachers can use class analytics to review progress and decide what to revisit.
Does it cover our year groups and curriculum?
Schedule a demo with us and tell us which year groups and topics you teach, and we’ll confirm the lessons available for your school.
What subjects does LearnPF offer?
We only offer maths at the moment, but we’ll be expanding to other subjects in the near future.
How is student data protected?
LearnPF complies with the principles of Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We don’t sell or rent personal data. Data is encrypted in storage and in transit, and schools can ask us to delete student data when they stop using LearnPF. Read our privacy policy
